Bibby spent two seasons with the New Orleans Jazz after two seasons with the Knicks.

He also spent four years with the Philadelphia 76ers before moving on to the Lancaster Lightning and San Diego Clippers for a single season.

In all, Bibby appeared in 675 games, averaging 8.6 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per season.

Coaching as a profession

Bibby found a way to continue in the NBA as a coach shortly after retiring as a player.He reportedly began coaching via the Continental Basketball Association (CBA).Before joining the Arizona Wildcats, Bibby spent a year as an assistant coach with his old squad, the Lancaster Lightning.

He coached the club for three years, having previously served as an assistant coach for the squad that won the CBA title.Following that, he worked with a number of different clubs while coaching the Winnipeg Thunder.

Between the intermissions, he coached the Baltimore Lightning, Springfield Fame, New Jersey Jammers, Savannah Spirits / Tulsa Fast Breakers, and Oklahoma City Cavalry.

After working with the men’s basketball team at the University of Southern California, he got his big break as a coach in 1996. (USC).During his nine seasons with the squad, he had a 131-111 overall won-loss record.
